The Film Base

  • Just Be 383/31, 13th Cross Road Bengaluru, KA, 560080 India (map)

The Film Base is a two-day workshop to enable teenagers between the ages of 13 to 16 the opportunity to engage with the basic tools of film-making in a hands-on, compact module.

We will take the young students of cinema on a rigorous but grounded journey through the departments and processes of filmmaking, demystifying them. From looking at the basic structure of a film, students will be guided all the way to shooting and creating a short film on the second day, for a fundamental working understanding of the medium. It will also encourage further inquisitiveness and association with the medium, for them.
Group activities through the two days will aid planning and collaborative skills, essential in the field.
No previous experience required to apply. A curiosity, and a willingness to experiment and learn is welcome.
